This design comes simply by combining my fascination for gemstones with my love of geometry. The soft curve of the translucent teardrop counterbalances the hard edges of the hexagon frame.

A large white chalcedony teardrop is suspended within a 22k gold vermeil hexagon. Earring wires are handmade of 14k gold filled wire.

Earrings hang ~2" (4.5 cm) from top to bottom and are ~1.25" (3 cm) wide.
